Acknowledgement Policy
When official information or direct quotations from Forum participants are used in media materials, they should be accompanied by a reference to the I Central Asian Media Forum, and the source of the information must be credited. Electronic media should include a link to the Forum website. Alteration, embellishment, or distortion of any copied (cited) information is strictly prohibited.

Print media/radio: any programme made or interview given at the I Central Asian Media Forum venue must include a reference to the I Central Asian Media Forum, in the form of text or the official logo.

Television: any programme filmed or interview given at the I Central Asian Media Forum venue must include a reference to the I Central Asian Media Forum, in the form of text or the official logo.

Online publications: any article or interview covering the I Central Asian Media Forum must include a reference to the I Central Asian Media Forum, in the form of text or the official logo.

Photography: any photograph must include a reference to the I Central Asian Media Forum, in the form of text or the official logo, either in the image itself, or caption.

Blogs/social networking sites: when using official information obtained through participation in the I Central Asian Media Forum or quoting statements made by participants of the I Central Asian Media Forum (which should be used only with the participant’s express permission) in materials published online (on blogs, social networking sites, etc.), all information divulged must be accurate.

The Forum organizers accept no responsibility for statements participants make in the blogosphere or on social networking sites. Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan reserves the right to use text from articles, photographs, and video footage made or obtained by media representatives during preparations for the I Central Asian Media Forum or during the Forum itself. If used, such material will include a reference crediting the author of the material in question.

Astana is to host the First Central Asian Media Forum

The First Central Asian Media Forum is to take place on December 20-21st in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Forum is aimed at becoming a unique platform for collaboration and intends to create a single media environment for the countries of Central Asia.

Within two days, world experts will discuss in person the issues of media development and share their vision and best practices in the industry. First time in the regional agenda, the Forum raises the topics of measuring regional identity, the development of new media, artificial intelligence technologies in the industry, the future of creative industries in Central Asia, the possibilities of regional and global cooperation to ensure information security, "fake news" in the post-truth era, media literacy issues, sustainability and the role of "women in media".

Forum counts over 100 invited speakers, world-famous Pulitzer Prize winners, global policymakers, international and local journalists, influencers, heads of international organizations, and media experts.

Jeremy Gilley, the founder of the Peace One Day global project, who could pause the war in Afghanistan and established the UN International Day of Peace at the UN General Assembly, together with the famous Kazakh performer Dimash Kudaibergen, will deliver their vision about the Ethics of Peace and its role in the world.

The headliners of the Forum are Hollywood actor and legendary boxer Roy Jones, four-time New York Times best-selling author, that wrote a book about Kazakh Burkitchi Girl "Eagle Huntress" Liz Welch, and the most popular YouTube project in the globe with over 18 billion views dBillions.

The 11th President of Turkey Abdullah Gul, the 3rd President of Mongolia Nambaryn Enkhbayar, State Secretary of the Kyrgyz Republic Suyunbek Kasmambetov, heads of leading international organizations (OTC, OIC, CICA, Turksoy, TurkPA, UN, etc.) and policy leaders will share their experience at the Forum along with mass media managers of Central Asia.
